My Wellness Journey

Growing up, I always had a curiosity about health and fitness. Like many others, I fell into the trap of the fad diet culture, and for years I measured my worth based on how well my clothes fit me.

During periods of insecurity, I felt uncomfortable and resorted to dieting with the sole purpose of losing weight or achieving a specific size. I experimented with various methods like not eating, avoiding meat, using Slimfast, and strict low carb diets. It was during a low carb diet phase that I finally made a connection between how my body felt and the food I was consuming. I didn't feel good inside, despite slimming down. That was the moment I realized I couldn't continue on this path; it wasn't suitable for my body. I'm grateful for this realization because it opened up a space for me to shift my focus from size to overall health.

After making this connection, I started paying attention to other areas of wellness. Although it wasn't a widely discussed topic at the time, I noticed how my interactions with others, particularly my relationships with friends and family, impacted my well-being. I began to prioritize what brought me joy, who and what enriched my life, my career aspirations, and how it would provide financial stability and create a harmonious home life. During this time, exercise remained a focal point for me, as I understood its importance for overall health and how it usually made me feel good. However, I also had to overcome compulsive behavior that was rooted in associating exercise solely with "losing weight" and "staying fit." This process continued well into my adulthood.

Over the years, small moments here and there helped me heal from the pressure of body image and shift my focus to holistic health. Through acceptance, curiosity blossomed, and this is when my daily wellness journey began. I am now excited to be comfortable with who I am because I know I am in tune with myself, aware of what my body thrives on, and have cultivated habits that support my health and wellness goals.

Talking about wellness brings me joy, and I want to assist you in finding comfort on your own wellness journey and achieving your personal goals.
