Bioindividuality: What is it and how does it influence health?
Have you heard of the term "Bioindividuality"? I had not until I attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
Bioindividuality is the concept that an individual's nutrition, self-care, movement, sleep and overall health needs vary based on many factors, including lifestyle, sex, genetics, and even geographic location. This is the reason why what works for one person may not necessarily work for another.
In everyday life, you may have already noticed that you have different needs and preferences compared to your family and friends.
In my household, my husband and I prioritize personal wellness in ways that cater to our unique needs.
In the morning, he starts his day with a smoothie while I prefer peanut butter toast
For exercise, he enjoys running, biking, and weightlifting, whereas I find enjoyment in Pilates and long walks
When it comes to sleep, he stays up late while I prefer to go to bed early
The Institute for Integrative Nutrition offers a wide range of dietary theories to students, demonstrating that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to eating healthy. As a student, you are encouraged to explore various diets to understand how your body responds and to gain insight on how to guide others in addressing their unique dietary needs, along with incorporating spiritual practices, engaging in fitness activities, and prioritizing self-care.
Factors that contribute to Bioindividuality:
Age
Lifestyle
Geographical Location
Sex
Genetics
Health
Experience and Exposure

Health coaching is built on Bioindividuality and these factors will be explored as your unique plan is created
Health coaching is centered on assisting individuals by addressing your unique nutrition and lifestyle requirements. In other words, it involves helping you identify the choices that are most effective for you
